Your privacy, explained clearly.

1. Information we handle

You may use the basic URL-shortening feature without creating an account. When a link is created, the service stores the destination URL, the generated or selected short code, creation time, click count, and the most recent click time.

When you create an optional account, WordPress stores the name and email address you provide, an encrypted password representation, account identifiers, links associated with your account, and any QR-code records you intentionally choose to save. Saved QR records may include the QR type, content, display settings, and a connection to a dynamic short link where applicable. We do not ask for payment-card information in the current free service.

Contact and abuse-report forms may collect your name, email address, message, reported link or QR-code reference, destination URL, report category, and supporting details. Web hosting and security systems may also create standard server logs containing technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, request time, and requested page.

2. How information is used

Information is used to create and redirect short links, generate and manage QR codes, display private dashboard records, calculate click totals, maintain user sessions, answer support requests, investigate abuse, prevent spam, secure the website, diagnose errors, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose limited information when reasonably necessary to operate the service through hosting or technical providers, investigate abuse, enforce our terms, protect users, or respond to a lawful request.

3. Cookies and external services

WordPress may use essential cookies for login sessions, security, preferences, and account functionality. Blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in or dashboard features from working correctly.

The current CyberEasyShort design may request web fonts from Google Fonts. Static QR codes are generated locally in the visitor’s browser and are not sent to an external QR-image service. When a signed-in user chooses to save a QR code, CyberEasyShort stores the QR type, content, display settings, and account association so it can appear in the user’s private My QR Codes section. Dynamic QR codes may also be connected to a saved CyberEasyShort short link. Destination websites opened through a short link or QR code operate under their own privacy policies.

Wi-Fi QR codes may contain a network name and password. Saving Wi-Fi QR information is optional, and users should only save it when they understand the privacy implications.

CyberEasyShort currently uses Google Analytics and Google Search Console to understand website traffic, performance, and search visibility. Advertising services are not currently enabled and may be added in the future only after this policy is updated where necessary.

4. Retention and security

Link, saved QR-code, and account records may be retained while the service is active or until they are deleted, removed for abuse, or no longer reasonably needed. Contact and abuse submissions may be retained for support, safety, dispute-resolution, and record-keeping purposes.

Reasonable technical and administrative measures are used to protect information. No website, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

5. Your choices

You may use guest shortening and local static QR generation without an account. Registered users can delete their saved links and saved QR-code records from their private dashboard. Deleting a saved dynamic QR record does not automatically delete its connected short link; the connected link must be removed separately when the user wants the redirect and alias permanently deleted. You may contact us to ask about account information, request correction or deletion where appropriate, or raise a privacy concern. Some records may need to be retained when required for security, legal compliance, or abuse prevention.

The service is not intentionally designed to collect personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child submitted personal information may contact us.

6. Contact and policy changes

This policy may be updated when service features, providers, or legal requirements change. The updated date will appear at the top of this page.
